Many exporters look at participation in US FTAs as only an advantage to the buyer and while the buyer
does receive many of the benefits the seller can benefit as well. The most important cost to a buyer of
international goods is the “Landed Cost” anything that a seller can do to lower the “Landed Cost” will
make their product more attractive to the buyer and/or increase profit margin. Using FTA eligibility as a
sales and marketing tool can help expand your sales to participating countries. However without a good
understanding of how our FTAs are structured you will not be able to take full advantage of the benefits.

Meet our Presenter:

Bob Imbriani has been in the international/domestic transportation and logistics field for over four decades. He has held various senior executive positions with major U.S. Customs brokers/freight forwarders. He is currently Executive Vice President, International for Team Worldwide. Mr. Imbriani is a well-known speaker and educator in the areas of trade compliance, contract negations, transportation, logistic/supply chain solutions, customs brokerage, trade development and financial services. He is an adjunct professor in these areas at Baruch College and Pace University in New York.
